EASE ATELIER

Privacy

For the Ease Atelier app and the Ease Atelier Chrome extension. Last updated 19 October 2026.

Ease Atelier helps you see how a vintage or secondhand garment will fit, from your own measurements and the measurements in a listing. The short version: your measurements are yours. We do not read them, sell them or share them.

What the app keeps, and where

The app stores the measurements you enter, the pieces you try, and your settings in your browser's own storage on your device. That data is never sent to us. If you clear your browser data, or use the app's own "forget" controls, it is gone.

Stylists who keep client measurements in the app are responsible for having their clients' permission to do so. That data is also stored only on the stylist's device.

If you sign in

Using the app needs an account. Your email address and the data the app keeps for you (your measurements, the pieces you try, and, for stylists, your clients) are stored in your account so they follow you between devices. That data is held by our database provider (Supabase), is readable only by you, and is deleted when you ask us to close your account. We do not read it, sell it or share it.

If you pick a username and use Friends, other members can find you by your username and the name you give. What you choose to share is stored so the right people can see it: a find you send goes only to that friend, and a look or find you share to your feed (its photo, and the pieces in it with their garment measurements) is shown to the people who follow you. Your measurements are never shared. You can unsend or take down anything you shared at any time, from Sent.

If you connect Pinterest, Pinterest gives Ease permission to read your boards and pins, and nothing else. Ease keeps that permission on our server so you do not have to sign in each time, uses it only when you ask to bring in a board, and never posts, edits or deletes anything on Pinterest. The pictures you choose are saved to your Inspiration board on your device. Disconnect Pinterest from Inspiration at any time and the permission is deleted.

When you save or check a listing and the shop will not let Ease read it, your phone may ask two public services to help: Microlink, which reads the listing's title and main picture, and weserv, which makes a small copy of that picture. Only the listing's web address and picture address are sent to them, never your name, account or measurements.

If you join as a member, payment is taken by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never pass through us; we keep only a reference to your membership and whether it is paid.

What the Chrome extension does

What we do not do

Optional features that use a service

If you choose to read a listing from a photo or screenshot inside the app, the image you choose is sent to the service that reads it, and the measurements it finds come back to your device. That happens only when you choose it, and we do not keep the image. The extension does not use this feature.

Links from a stylist

If a stylist sends you a link to enter your measurements, they are stored in her Ease Atelier account for her client profile of you, and nothing is kept on the device you typed them on. If she sends you an edit, your yes or no on each piece goes back to her. Ask her to delete your profile at any time; she can, in one tap.

Ask Ease

If you ask Ease a question, the question, your measurements and the piece you are looking at are sent to Anthropic, the company whose Claude model writes the answer, and used only to produce that answer. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. We keep a count of your questions and nothing else; the questions and answers are not stored.

Hosting

The app is served as a static website. Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs, such as the time of a request and a shortened network address, to keep the site running.

How we learn what to improve

On ease-atelier.com we use PostHog, a product analytics service, to see which parts of the app people use: which screens are opened, which buttons are tapped, and actions such as checking a fit or adding a piece to the wish list. If you are signed in, these are linked to your account's internal number, never to your email address. PostHog may also record how a visit moves through the screens so we can see where people get stuck. Those recordings never include your measurements, your photos, or anything you type: those parts of the screen are hidden before anything leaves your device. PostHog stores this data in the United States and sets a small cookie to recognise a returning visit. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded.

Children

Ease Atelier is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change matters, we will say so in the app.
